If you wear fortnightly or monthly contact lenses, a good solution removes protein and dirt, disinfects the lenses and keeps them moist overnight, which lowers the risk of irritation and eye infections. Use only solution made for contact lenses: never tap water, saliva or homemade saline. Rub and rinse your lenses as the pack says, throw away used solution every day, and replace your lens case every month. Check the expiry date and how long the bottle can be used after opening. If your eyes stay red, painful or blurry, remove the lenses and see an optometrist; you can visit our Arumbakkam store for an eye check without an appointment. Can I top up old solution in the case?
No. Throw away the used solution every day, rinse the case, let it air-dry and fill it with fresh solution.
How long can I use a bottle after opening?
Usually around 90 days after opening, but check the bottle, and never use it after the expiry date.
Are daily disposable lenses used with solution?
No. Daily lenses are thrown away after one use, so they don't need cleaning solution. Rewetting drops can still help with dryness.
