Colour Photochromic & Tinted Sunglass Lenses
Want your own power in a colour that suits you? We make two kinds of colour lenses to order. Colour photochromic lenses stay clear indoors and turn grey, brown, green, blue, purple or pink in the sun. Tinted sunglass lenses have a fixed colour, solid or gradient, from a light fashion tint to a dark sunglass shade.
Tinted sunglass lenses (Fusion)

✓ Do's
- Get your eyes tested first: a power from the last year makes the best lenses.
- Choose grey for true colours, brown or copper for contrast, green for a balanced view.
- Choose a gradient tint if you drive: the clear lower part shows the dashboard and mobile.
- Pick a light tint (10–25%) for a fashion look and a medium tint (50–65%) for everyday sun.
- Give photochromic lenses a minute to darken outdoors and a few minutes to clear indoors.
- Clean with water and the microfibre cloth, and keep them in the case.
- See the real colour samples at our store before you decide.
✗ Don'ts
- Don't drive with very dark tints (85–95%).
- Don't wear any tinted lens for night driving or in dim light.
- Don't expect photochromic lenses to darken fully inside a car: the windscreen blocks most of the sunlight that darkens them.
- Don't leave your glasses on a car dashboard or in hot places: heat damages the lens coatings.
- Don't wipe them with a shirt, tissue or hot water.
- Don't look straight at the sun, even with dark lenses.
- Don't order colour photochromic for plus powers or above −4.00 / −2.00: ask us about tinted lenses instead.

- Choose a frame online (we deliver across India) or at our Arumbakkam store, Chennai.
- Share your power on WhatsApp (a photo of your prescription is enough). In Chennai you can also book an eye test at our store or at home.
- Pick the colour and how dark from our samples.
- We confirm the price and delivery time, then make your lenses to order, fit them in your frame and deliver them to your door anywhere in India.
Questions
What is the difference between colour photochromic and tinted lenses?
Colour photochromic lenses change: clear indoors, coloured in the sun. Tinted lenses keep the same colour all the time, like sunglasses.
Which powers can have colour photochromic lenses?
Minus powers up to -4.00 sphere and -2.00 cylinder. They are not made for plus powers. For other powers, ask us about tinted sunglass lenses.
Which tint colour should I choose?
Grey keeps colours most natural and suits most people. Brown and copper add contrast and warmth. Green is balanced and easy on the eyes. Blue, purple, pink, yellow and orange are fashion shades, best in lighter tints.
Can I drive with tinted lenses?
In daylight, yes, with medium tints and gradient lenses. Very dark tints (85 to 95%) are not for driving, and no tinted lens is for driving at night.
How much do they cost and how long do they take?
They are made to order, so the price depends on your power and the shade. Ask us on WhatsApp or at the store and we will confirm the price and delivery time.

Yes. Our staff will show you the ZEISS and Essilor tint options at the store.
